At Nova Lux DR Properties, we understand the complexities of buying luxury real estate in the Dominican Republic. From navigating unfamiliar markets to designing a home from afar, we’ve experienced it firsthand. Founder & CEO Kathy Colon created this company after going through the same challenges herself, and today, her mission is to make the process seamless and enjoyable for others. Whether you’re seeking a vacation retreat or a long-term investment, we’re here to ensure that every step is smooth, rewarding, and tailored to your vision.
I’m Kathy Gladys Colon, Founder & CEO of Nova Lux DR Properties. My journey to launching this company began while caring for a loved one and traveling frequently between New York and the Dominican Republic. During this time, I fell in love with the country’s natural beauty while staying in various villas and condos on the beach. However, navigating the complexities of finding and furnishing a property revealed significant gaps in the process—an experience that inspired me to create a seamless solution for others.
Nova Lux DR Properties was born from my desire to combine my expertise in health, wellness, and longevity with my passion for the Dominican Republic. Our mission is to provide a holistic approach to luxury real estate, helping clients find their dream homes while creating spaces that support a healthy, balanced lifestyle. I am committed to offering local expertise, personalized service, and a dedication to fostering environments where families can build lasting memories and thrive for years to come.
I hold a BS, Dual MBA's, MPH and Culinary Chef degrees, which have shaped my multidisciplinary approach to business and public health. My career spans over two decades in executive roles at global companies such as Microsoft, IBM Watson, and Salesforce, where I specialized in integrating health informatics/medical devices and fostering innovation in healthcare systems. These experiences, combined with my academic foundation, have instilled in me a deep understanding of how built environments and housing can influence health and wellness outcomes.
